Principle of oxygen concentration meters

Principle of Galvanic Battery Type/Zirconia Type Oxygen Concentration Meter

At Tekune Measurement, we handle two types of oxygen concentration meters based on the principles of galvanic cell and zirconia methods. 〇 Galvanic Cell Type The lead anode facilitates the reduction reaction at the cathode by undergoing an oxidation reaction. It behaves as if combustion is occurring at the anode due to oxygen, generating current, which is why it is also referred to as a fuel cell type. PPM models: 2010BX, 2001RS, 2001LC, 1000RS % models: 210BX, Oxtron, 201RS, 1100BE, 201LC 〇 Zirconia Type It compares unknown process gases using known reference gases and the Nernst equation. The electromotive force of the sensor is measured to determine the oxygen concentration. Examples of PPM models: 4100, 7100, etc. Examples of % models: 111, 5100, etc. For more details on the principles of oxygen concentration measurement, please refer to the URL below.

What is an oxygen concentration meter?

Introducing recommended products based on usage purpose and measurement range!

Here is an introduction on how to choose an oxygen concentration meter. An oxygen concentration meter (O2 meter, Oxygen Analyzer) should be selected based on its intended use and measurement range. Oxygen concentration meters are used to check the concentration of oxygen in medical, personal, and industrial applications. There are various methods for selecting an oxygen concentration meter. Considerations include measurable gases, measurement range, accuracy, installation environment, maintenance, price, and intended use (medical, personal, manufacturing, etc.). Choose the appropriate type and select an oxygen concentration meter that suits the location of use. When selecting an oxygen concentration meter, it is important to consider the following points: - Choose based on the gases that the oxygen concentration meter can measure. - Choose based on the measurement range of the oxygen concentration meter. - Choose based on the measurement accuracy (ppm, ppb, etc.) of the oxygen concentration meter. - Choose between portable or fixed installation for the oxygen concentration meter. - Choose based on the output of the oxygen concentration meter. - Choose based on the installation environment of the oxygen concentration meter. - Choose based on maintenance requirements for the oxygen concentration meter. - Choose based on the price of the oxygen concentration meter. - Choose based on the intended use of the oxygen concentration meter. - Choose a type that fits the application of the oxygen concentration meter. White Paper "Safety and Protection of Equipment Assets Achieved Through Oxygen Measurement"

To enhance the safety of chemical storage facilities and factories. What are the methods to reduce the oxygen content in volatile gas mixtures?

Ensuring "safety," which is the primary goal for companies and factories. In chemical storage facilities and reactor vessels, where there are frequent opportunities for the coexistence of steam, oxygen, and ignition sources, particularly high crisis management is required to prevent environmental destruction and product loss due to accidents. This document examines the benefits of introducing oxygen measurement into purge systems. Additionally, it introduces oxygen measurement technologies that contribute to efforts such as reducing the oxygen content in volatile gas mixtures and achieving overall cost reductions through the execution of safe processes and bracketing. [Contents] ■ Introduction ■ Inerting Process ■ Oxygen Measurement Technology ■ Implementation of Measurement *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
